The Epiphany of Our Lord Parish

OUR MISSION STATEMENT
Epiphany of Our Lord Parish is a bilingual (english/Italian) and multicultural community dedicated to becoming a faithful witness to the Lord Jesus, striving to live the message of the Gospel and the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church and providing diverse opportunities for worship and spiritual growth while being attentive to the social and material needs of all people.
Registration for the Sacrament of First Holy Communion and the Sacrament of Confirmation Registration for First Holy Communion for children in Public Schools (they have to go to Sunday school) is open for Grades 1 to 8 students. There will be a two-year catechism program for these children. Please register at the parish office during the week.
Registration is open for Communion Grade 2 students and Confirmation Grade 8 students.
1. The parents and the child must be registered parishioners at Epiphany Parish.*
2. The family must have a meeting with the Pastor for Confirmation candidate.
3. Must attend Mass regularly throughout the year.
3. Bring a copy of the child's Baptism Certificate.**
4. A fee of $40.00 to cover the materials.
* If you are not registered, please go to the parish office (9:00 am - 1:00 pm, and 2:00 pm - 7:30 pm) and complete a Parish Registration form and also pick up a box of donation envelopes to obtain your registration #.
** If the child was Baptized at Epiphany of Our Lord Parish, no Baptismal certificate is required.
Sacrament of Confirmation
- October 15, 2014, Wednesday, 7:30 pm, Initial meeting for candidates and parents in the church hall.
- November 8 & 9, Saturday and Sunday (all English Masses): OFFICIAL ENROLMENT & BLESSING. Candidates are required to attend one of the English Masses.
INDIAN CHILDREN'S MISSION
Epiphany of Our Lord Parish is part of The Congregation of The Sons of The Immaculate Conception (CFIC). The CFIC is a religious missionary order dedicated to the care of the sick, education of the orphaned, poor and abandoned children in the world, following the Charism and spirit of the founder, B1. Annual Christmas Play actors needed
We need children ages 6 and older to play at 5:00 pm Mass on Christmas eve, Wednesday, December 24, 2014. Practices will be every Saturday from Nov. 29 to December 20, from 2 - 4 pm. Outstanding Altar Server's
The Serra Clubs of the Archdiocese of Toronto's 29th Annual Bishop's Altar Servers Award Ceremony took place on Saturday, October 18 at St. Issac Jogues Parish in Pickering. Every 3rd Sunday of the month non-perishable food is collected for those less fortunate in our community. Please do not bring expired food.
Thank you to Epiphany Soccer League for the donation of Blessed Luigi Maria Monti statue that was erected on June 19, 2010 in the front garden of the church. Blessed Luigi Maria Monti is the founder of the Congregation of the Sons of the Immaculate Conception.

Epiphany Youth Group Cornerstones
Epiphany Youth Group (EYG) initiatives for 2015:
A CALL TO VOLUNTEERS FOR THE YOUTH GROUP—if you are feeling a calling from the Lord to get more involved, no matter your age, please consider a few initiatives the EYG are beginning soon:
(1) Join the Epiphany Youth Group Core --
Who: Those who feel called to minister to the youth of Epiphany
What: Outreach to those in high school, organize programs/discussion nights, volunteering initiatives, sports nights and catechesis
When: Meet bi-weekly on Sundays at 5:30pm to plan and organize
Where: Epiphany of Our Lord basement meeting room
(2) Advent Catholic Teen Discipleship Program – THE LIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS
Who: High school youth
What: We’ll be exploring the faith and preparing ourselves for the coming of Christ, through games, videos and discussion. All the while, building friendships, eating, and having fun to boot!
When: Each Sunday of Advent (Nov 30th – Dec 21st) from 2:30pm – 4pm

(3) “ARMED” Ladies Fellowship
Who: Young ladies in high school or university/college
What: Become ARMED with the Lord and your sisters in Christ to tackle life’s questions, friendship and love. There will be snacks, singing, and discussion using the book “How to Find your Soulmate Without Losing Your Soul” as our guide.
When: TBA – Once a week starting in 2015

(5) Steubenville Toronto Conference
Who: High school youth
What: Annual 3-day conference where over 2500 youth attend to build their relationship with fellow Catholics and God
When: August 7-9, 2015
